Janice Marie Sharp
St. Petersburg, Florida

January 17, 1941 --- June 20, 2020

Janice Marie Sharp was born to Raymond Howard Sharp and Doris Budolfson Sharp on January 17, 1941. She lived in rural Rolfe, Iowa until she was fourteen and the family moved to rural Vincent, Iowa.

She graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1959, received her BA in Speech Communication from Buena Vista University and her Master's Degree in Education from Drake University. She taught high school in Perry, Iowa, Illinois Valley Community College, and the Sheridan Correctional Facility in Illinois. She also worked for the American Lung Association in Indiana.

Janice retired to Clearwater, Florida in 2011, where she enjoyed hosting her friends and family and sharing the area with them. She loved playing bridge, doing crosswords, and attending the theater and Florida Orchestra performances.

She passed away at Suncoast Hospice on June 20, 2020. She is survived by her brother, Jerald Sharp (Cindy) of Mesa, Arizona, her sister, Joan Ingwersen (Denny) of Ames, Iowa, her niece, Lisa Burns (Bob) of Tucson, Arizona, and her nephews, Bruce Sharp (Sue) of Omaha, Nebraska, Darren Sharp (Jeannie) of Olathe, Kansas. and Bill Ingwersen (Leigh Ann) of Marietta, Georgia.

A private service in Iowa is pending. Any memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association.
