July 29, 1895 ---- June 9, 1979

Lutheran Services For Anna Jorgenson
Mrs. Anna C. Jorgenson, 83, of Clarion died on Saturday evening, June 9, 1979 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion, where she had been a patient since Friday night. Funeral services were held from First Lutheran Church on Tuesday, June 12 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Oliver Johnson officiating. Burial was in Norway Township Cemetery and the Eyler-Willim Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Wayne Ebert was the organist and Mrs. Bernie Case was the vocalist. Pallbearers were Dale, Donald, Duane, Harlan, Paul and Rodney Jorgenson.

Mrs. Jorgenson was born in Wright County on July 29, 1895 and was the daughter of Sten and Karen Carlson Stenson. She grew to womanhood in the area of her birth. In 1917 she was united in marriage to Elmer Jorgenson at the home of her parents north of Holmes. The couple farmed until moving to Clarion in 1945. Mr. Jorgenson died in 1971 and she continued to make her home at 508 1st Ave. N.W. until entering the Clarion Care Center six weeks ago.

Her survivors are her daughter-in-law, Margaret, a granddaughter, Mrs. Jon (Betty) Watne, three great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Sina Henriksen, all of Clarion. Her parents, husband, two sisters and a son, Carroll, all preceded her in death. Mrs. Jorgenson was a member of First Lutheran Church and was baptized and confirmed as a child at St John's Church south of Kanawha.
