October 29, 1940 --- June 28, 1976

Double funeral services for Mrs. LeRoy (Ranee) Barton, 36, and her four-year old son, Wade LeRoy Barton, victims of an accident yesterday near Williams, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. James Pittman and the Rev. Byron D. Surface officiating.

Burial will be made in the Blairsburg cemetery.

Ranee Ann Nokes, daughter of Francis and Sylvia Hansen Nokes, was born Oct. 29, 1940 at Mankato, Minn. She moved to Eagle Grove in 1950 where she attended schools until 1955 when the family moved to Webster City. She was graduated from Webster City high school in 1958.

On Aug. 2, 1959 she was married to LeRoy Barton and the couple resided in the rural area of Webster City until 1973 when they moved to rural Woolstock where the family had since resided.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter and one son, Sherri Linn and Chet Allen Barton, both at home; by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis Nokes of Webster City, two brothers and two sisters, Francis R. Nokes of North English, Iowa, Don Nokes of Webster City, Mrs. Roy (LaDonna) Yeager of Russellville, Ark., and Mrs. Darel (Lorene) Burnett of Webster City.

She was a member of the Mulberry Center United Methodist church and the United Methodist Church Women. She served as a Sunday school teacher and was a member of the K.Y.N. club and a Den Mother with the Cub Scouts.
