Kareen L. Cordray, 89, nee Wilson, of Fredericksburg, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, at Windcrest Nursing and Rehab Center. A memorial service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ann Hoch officiating.

Mrs. Cordray was born in 1930 in Renwick, Iowa, the daughter of William C. Wilson and Emma Lenz Wilson. She married Ralph E. Cordray in February 1949 in Iowa. He preceded her in death in August 2010.

In earlier years, Mrs. Cordray was a secretary/receptionist in Wolfe City. She owned and operated a photography studio in Denton until retirement. After moving to Fredericksburg, she volunteered for over 15 years at the Hill Country Memorial Thrift Store. She was also a member of the Hill Country Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

For 13 years, she taught line dance lessons at the Golden Hub Senior Center.

She was active at Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Cordray is survived by two sons, one daughter and spouses, including Stanley Cordray of Houston; David Cordray and spouse, Lina Wachsmuth, of Elma, Washington, and Barbara Cordray Giesing and her spouse, Larry, of Plano. Survivors also include seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cordray was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters, including Melville Wilson, Stanley Wilson, Marjorie Breitmoser, Gordon Wilson, Marie Webster and Carol Smith.

Memorials may be made to Memorial Presbyterian Church, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the animal charity of choice.
