Mrs. Juanita Roper Meinders, 74, wife of Walter Henry Meinders, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

She was a daughter of the late Elbert D. and Viola Chapman Roper. She was a beloved mother and wife. She was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving, along with her husband are six daughters, Debbie Owen and Caroline Powell, both of Easley, Anita Boynton and Viola Stevenson, both of Liberty, Hope Wilson of Piedmont and Martha Kellett of Taylors; two sons, Darrell Meinders and Chris Meinders, both of Liberty; six brothers, James Roper, Garnett Roper, Doyle Roper, George Roper, Delma Roper, and John Roper; five sisters, Frances Hawkins, Judy Spearman, Margaret Rabon, Martha Posey and Debra Fortescue; 28 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; three siblings; and an infant son, Walter Samuel.

A visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, March 1, at the funeral home. Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, March 2, in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home, and burial will follow in the Bethlehem Community Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of a son, Darrell Meinders, 511 Amsterdam Road, Liberty, SC 29657. Dillard Funeral Home is assisting the Meinders family.
