Leo LeRoy Abbas, 66, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 1995 at his home in Kanawha. Leo was born July 3, 1929, in Britt, Iowa, the son of Chris and Grace Prull Abbas. He attended country schools and also the Kanawha High School. On November 26, 1950 he was united in marriage with Faye Corlew at the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church Parsonage. The couple made their home on a farm in Kanawha. Leo enjoyed fishing in Northern Minnesota and also farming. He was a member of the Kanawha Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include his wife, Faye, their children: Pamela Miller and her husband, LeRoy of Mason City; Wayne and his wife, Laura of Kanawha; Lory Shippy and her husband, Larry of Clear Lake; Debora Abbas of Sioux Center; Vicky Anderson and her husband, Les of Kanawha; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
