Death of Mrs. C. Knutson.
The death of Mrs. C. Knutson occurred at the Knutson home last week Thursday, May 4th, and funeral services were held from the East Side Lutheran church on Monday. Rev. Spande spoke in Norwegian and Rev. Okdale spoke in English. Mrs. Knutson had been very low with paralysis for several months.
Margaret Elizabeth Knutson was born February 2nd, 1850, in Tysver Sogn, Norway. Come to America, locating at LaSalle county, Ill., in 1872. In 1875 she was married to Cornelius Knutson, at Ottawa, Ill. Five children were born to this union, four boys and one girl. One of the boys died in infancy. The three living sons are John, Joseph and Isaac, and the daughter, Mrs. Francis Sebby, of Sheridan, Ill. They came to Iowa in 1902, buying a farm east of Eagle Grove, where they lived until the year 1908, when Mr. and Mrs. Knutson moved to town.
The family feel very grateful for favors extended them during the illness and death of Mrs. Knutson.
