October 20, 1969 --- April 3, 2020

Brian Maxson, age 50, of Goldfield passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa. Due to state and federal guidance on gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will not be having a public memorial at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Lentz Funeral Home of Algona is assisting the family.

Brian McKinnon Maxson, the son of Douglas and Sharon (Wilson) Maxson, was born on October 20, 1969 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He graduated from Kaneland High School in Maple Park, IL in 1988. Brian enlisted in the Army National Guard and served from 1986 – 1991. He was employed by the Eagle Grove School District since 2006 as a bus driver and mechanic until he had to leave due to health issues.

Left to cherish Brian’s memory is his parents, Douglas and Sharon of Lone Rock; sister, Kimberlee “Becky” (David) Mawdsley of Burt; niece, Sarah Mawdsley; adopted daughter, Alexis Maxson of Alden; and aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Robert & Mary Wilson and Dean and Irene Maxson; and uncle, Mike Maxson.
