18 October 1894 ---- 22 May 1948

Mrs. Robert Bown, 53, died in a Fort Dodge hospital May 22nd. Mrs. Bown had been ill but a short time, and in the hospital only about 24 hours. She is survived by her husband, and her mother, Mrs. Elza Baker.

Funeral services were held at the Kastler Funeral home, Tuesday afternoon. Rev. M. L. Scott had charge of the service, and music was furnished by the pastor and Mrs. Scott, accompanied by Mrs. Floyd Peterson.

Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery

OBITUARY

Mrs. Carrie Bown, daughter of Elza and Mary Baker, was born Oct. 18, 1894, near Lucas, Iowa. She was 53 years of age at the time of her death.

Carrie Baker was united in marriage to Robert Bown May 2, 1922. She has made her home here all her married life. Her father, Elza Baker, preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, Robert, and her mother, Mrs. Mary Baker, and a large number of friends.

She was a loving wife and daughter. She told her mother just before death she was prepared to go.
