Susan Polzin, age 63, of Dows, Iowa, died at MercyOne North Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa Friday, March 20, 2020.

Susan “Sue” Polzin of Dows, Iowa passed away at 3:10 pm on March 20, 2020. Sue was born July 13, 1956, the daughter of Dean and Betty Cronk in Marshalltown, Iowa. She was raised in State Center and graduated from West Marshall High School in 1974. She was united in marriage to Robert Polzin on December 31, 1977 in Hubbard, Iowa. Two sons were born to this union Anthony “Tony” and Aaron. Sue enjoyed asparagus hunting, garage sales, second-hand shops, antiques and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron, in November 2019, her parents and a brother Dennis Cronk. Sue is survived by her husband Robert; son Tony and his wife Dana of Lanar, Missouri; granddaughter Lynzey Sturgeon of Dows, Iowa; and a sister, Michelle “Mick” Reed of Arna, Kansas.
She was loved by many and remembered by all.

According to her wishes, she was cremated and a graveside service will be held in Hubbard, Iowa at a later date. There will be no services at this time in accordance with the recommendations of the CDC. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Boeke Funeral Home, PO Box 97, Hubbard, Iowa.
