Timothy Joseph Kelly, Sr.
September 25, 1927 ---- February 6, 2020

Timothy Joseph Kelly Sr. of Farmers Branch, Texas passed away on February 6, 2020. He was born on September 25, 1927 in Eagle Grove Iowa, a place he was proud to be from. After completing High School at Sacred Heart in Fort Dodge (where he graduated 19th in his class), Tim attended Loras College.

Tim married Marion Angeline Fudally, from Superior, Wisconsin. They raised 8 children together. After 68 years of marriage, he still called her "My Bride".

He had a career as an Air Traffic Controller at the Addison Airport. Tim loved his work so much, he never considered it to be a job.

Tim served in the U.S Army Air Corps during World War II and played an integral role in supporting the Berlin Airlift.

He was a devoted member of Mary Immaculate Catholic Church for more than 50 years. Tim was an active 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and often volunteered his time with the St. Vincent de Paul Society.

He had a passion for his family, hunting, watching Texas Rangers baseball and playing cards. Tim was well-known for hosting the annual Kelly Family Cribbage Tournament on his birthday. He will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor. Tim enjoyed telling jokes and making others smile. He loved people and always saw the good in everyone.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters, son: Tim Kelly, Jr., and grandson; Andrew Kelly. He is survived by son; Dennis Kelly, Sr. (Jean Ann), son; Mike Kelly, Sr. (Dee Ann), daughter; Angela Wolgamott (John), daughter; Anne Burkett, son; Dr. Pat Kelly (Francia), son; Mark Kelly, son; Chris Kelly (Jill). Tim is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and multiple beloved nieces and nephews.

A Rosary is scheduled for Friday February 14th at 6:30 PM and the Funeral Mass on Saturday February 15th at 7:00 PM. Both services will be held at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch. Tim’s nephew, Bishop Greg Kelly, will preside over the Funeral Mass celebration.
