March 23, 1925 --- May 26, 1970

Miss Esther Guild, 45, died Tuesday at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago.

A nurse and resident of Chicago, she formerly made her home in Austin. Surviving are her father Clarence Guild, four sisters, Mrs. Albert (Minnie) Burkhart, Belle Vernon, Pa., Mrs. Ben (Alice) Ingold, Monmouth, Ill., Mrs. C. J. (Evelyn) Richards, West Monroe, La., Mrs. Charles Jahren (Ida) Austin; four brothers, Henry of Minneapolis, Ralph of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Calvin of Houston, Tex., Lawrence of Austin; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday.

Esther Louise Guild was born March 23, 1925, at Park Rapids, Minn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence C. Guild (Esther) Corwin.

The family moved to Austin and she attended Austin High School, Austin State Junior College, the Kahler School of Nursing, Rochester, and Moody Bible Institute. The past 20 years she was employed as a registered nurse in Chicago.

Miss Guild died Tuesday, May 26, 1970, at Swedish Covenant Hospital, Chicago, where she was a patient three months.

Surviving are her father, Clarence C. Guild, Austin; four brothers, Henry of Minneapolis, Ralph of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Calvin of Houston, Tex., Lawrence of Austin; four sisters, Mrs. Albert (Minnie) Burkhart, Belle Vernon, Pa., Mrs. B. L. (Alice) Ingold, Monmouth, Ill., Mrs. C. J. (Evelyn) Richards, West Monroe, La., Mrs. Charles Jahren (Ida) Austin.

She was preceded in death by her mother in1961.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. May 29, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rev. Robert A. Morgan officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, Iowa, with the Jordan Mortuary in charge of arrangements. Bearers were Terry Smalley, Delbert Adams, William Sheely, Raymond Juenger, William Goblirsch, William Evans.

Out-of-town persons attending were Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Guild, Minneapolis, Mrs. B. L. Ingold, Monmouth, Ill.
