Anna (Kastler) Craig
December 3, 1879 --- May 27, 1979

Anna Craig, daughter of Henry and Louise Marshall Kastler, was born in Wright County Dec. 3, 1879. Anna passed away at her home in Woolstock Sunday night, May 27, 1979. She was 99 years and four months, 24 days.

Anna grew to womanhood in the vicinity of her birth place. She attended the rural school in that area. She was united in marriage to W. A. Craig in 1900. To this union two children were born, both sons, Leonard, who passed away in 1924, and Harry who passed away in 1930. They farmed in the Woolstock area for many years. Mr. Craig died in 1953 and in 1954 Anna moved into town where she had since resided. In early life she confessed her faith to Christ as her Saviour and identified herself with the French Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Woolstock American Legion Auxiliary Unit 553 for 56 years. During this time she held many local offices in this organization.

Anna is survived by one brother, Edward Kastler, of St. Paul, Minn., one grandson, Neil Craig of Vancouver, British Columbia, four great-grandchildren, two daughters-in-law, Mrs. Arba Selgelid of Renwick and Mrs. Gertrude Woods of Victoria, British Columbia, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband, two sons, two grandchildren, four brothers and seven sisters.

Funeral services were held May 31, 1979, 1:30 p.m. at Kastler-Babcock-DeYoung Funeral Home, Eagle Grove. Rev. Allan Jones officiated with burial at Graceland Cemetery, Webster City.
