December 1, 1897 ---- May 31, 1979

Inga Marie Cannon, daughter of Andrew and Laura Kvale Anderson, died suddenly in her home Thursday, May 31, 1979, at the age of 81 years and six months.

Inga was born in Oslo, Norway, on December 1, 1897. When she was three years of age her family came to the United States to live. She attended school in Holmes. On May 21, 1919 Inga was united in marriage to Lester Cannon. After their marriage they made their home in Eagle Grove. Together Inga and Lester were the parents of four children: One daughter and three sons.

Inga worked at the North Western Bell Telephone Company at Eagle Grove for five years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, also of many clubs. She was a member of the Worth While Class, American Legion Auxiliary, Order of the Eastern Star, White Shrine, Royal Neighbors and Senior Citizens.

Those who mourn her departure are her husband, two sons: Donald bf Bakersfield, Calif.; and Roger of Minnetonka, Minn.; one daughter, Mrs. Jim (Delores) Maher of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two brothers, Clarence Anderson of Sunnyville, [Sunnyvale] Calif.; and Morris Anderson of Clarion; two sisters: Jeanette Witte of Van Horn and Josephine Cooper of Waverly. Those preceding her in death were her parents, one son, Richard, five brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 2, 1979, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. Rev. Donald Callen officiated and interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
