ALICE G. ARMOUR
Alice Gaylia Cedelia Jotten was born August 11, 1909, the daughter of John and Minnie Thompson Jotten at Holmes. She received her education in the country school near Holmes. She was united in marriage to Elbert Roe Armour on May 25, 1929 at Goldfield. The couple lived near Holmes, and at Lake Cornelia. They moved to Clarion in 1952. During her working years, Mrs. Armour owned and operated a nursing home in Clarion. She moved to Eagle Grove following her husband's death in 1975. For the past three years, she has lived with her daughter, Beverly Riley, at their home in Eagle Grove. She was a member of the Church of the Open Bible in Eagle Grove.

Alice Gaylia Cedelia Armour died at the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion, September 6, 1992, at the age of 83 years, and 25 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant twin daughter, Barbara; two brothers, Jess and Harlan; and two sisters, Mable Storsand and Violet Jensen. She is survived by her son, Raymond of Humboldt; and three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Kallem and Mrs. Keith (Beverly) Riley, both of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Kenyon (Geneice) Isenberger of Barraboo, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held September 9 at the Church of the Open Bible, Eagle Grove, with Dr. Lloyd Meyer officiating at the 1:30 p.m. service. Burial was in Holmes Lutheran Cemetery, Holmes. Kastler-Babcock Services, Eagle Grove was in charge of arrangements.
