Mary Lou Miles, 52, of Mesa, a licensed practical nurse, died March 5, 1991, in Chandler. She was born in Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, Donald C; one daughter; three sons; and nine grandchildren.

Services: 4 p.m. Friday, Larry C. Melcher Mortuary, Mission Chapel, 66625 E Main St, Mesa.

Contributions: American Heart Association, 1445 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix 85014.

Mary Lou Shadle was born in Eagle Grove, the daughter of Victor and Grace Shadle. She graduated from Eagle Grove High School with the class of 1957, and graduated from nurses training in Marshalltown. She worked as an office nurse for Dr. Dale Harding for several years and also the Community Memorial Hospital in Clarion, before moving to Colorado.

She moved to Arizona in 1988 from Denver, Colo. She was a member of the Colorado Nurses Association. She attended the Church of the Open Bible.

Mary Lou Miles, 52, Mesa, Ariz., died Tuesday, March 5, 1991, in Chandler, Ariz. She was admitted to the hospital for diagnostic tests and her death was sudden and unexpected.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; sons, Randy, Fontana, Calif., David, Grapeland, Texas; and Richard, Denver, Colo.; daughter, Janette Booth of Conroe, Texas; nine grandchildren; a sister, Norma Jean Pepper, Denver, Colo., and a brother, Daniel, Des Moines.

Services were held at Melcher's Mission Chapel, Mesa.
