Ada Bea Knight was born December 5, 1893, the daughter of Fredrick and Mary Kelling Knight, near Goldfield. She attended rural Goldfield schools and graduated from Goldfield High School in 1912. She taught grammar school for a time following her graduation.

She was united in marriage to Walter Jones, of Arthur, Ill., on Dec. 9, 1914, at Goldfield. The couple made their home on a farm northeast of Goldfield until 1930, when they moved to another farm southwest of Goldfield.

She entered the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in 1981. Her husband moved to Rotary Ann in 1982, and died there in 1983.

Ada Bea Jones died at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home, Eagle Grove, on Dec. 5, 1990, at the age of 97 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; two sons, Sylvus and Norman; and an infant daughter, Kathryn.

She is survived by two sons, Francis, Webster City; and Raynard, Eagle Grove, one daughter, Letha Martin, Milo; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Dec 11, at the Kastler-Babcock Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, with the Rev. Victor V. Victoria officiating at the 1 p. m. services. Burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
