Ruth L. Knight Forster
August 9, 1895 --- August 31, 1976

Ruth Leola Knight, the daughter of Robert and Mary Kelling Knight, was born August 9, 1895 northeast of Goldfield, Iowa. She attended school in Goldfield and graduated in 1914. On September 11, 1919 she married Ernest Forster in Valdez, Alaska. In 1923 they moved to Montana, later moving to Seattle in 1925. Mr. Forster died in 1951 in Seattle. Ruth moved to Eagle Grove in 1954. Ruth died Tuesday, August 31, at the Humboldt Hospital, Humboldt, Iowa, at the age of 81 years and 22 days. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Walter Jones of Goldfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and two brothers. Funeral services were held Thursday at 2:00 p.m., September 2, at the United Methodist Church, Goldfield, Iowa. Dr. Geo. W. DenHartog officiating.
