Cindy A. Demro age 66 of Nashua, Iowa, died Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the Healthcare Center in Shell Rock, surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21, 2018, at United Methodist Church, Nashua with Rev. John Tunnicliff and Darin Cerwinske presiding. Interment will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Nashua with Derek Pagel, Mike Stroud, Julie Lee, Andy Franzen, Mitch Kelleher, Ashley Mundorf, Kyle Troge and Barry Wolfe serving as pallbearers. Her grandsons, Chancellor and Remington Johnson are honorary pallbearers.

Friends may greet the family 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2018, at Hugeback Johnson Funeral Home - Olson Chapel in Nashua. Visitation continues an hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.

Cindy Ann Demro was born May 28, 1952, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of John and Onnalee (Halfpop) Stith. She received her education in Eagle Grove, IA, Belmond, IA, and was a 1970 graduate of the Nashua High School. Cindy then worked for a brief period in West Union and later enrolled in cosmetology school in Mason City.

On October 28, 1978, at the United Methodist in Nashua, Cindy was united in marriage to Terry Ray Demro. They were blessed with three children; Renae, Randy, and Ryan.

After getting her license in 1974, she started working for the Nu-U Salon in Nashua and worked on and off until earlier this year when her illness prevented her from working. She also spent many years working as a florist where friendship bloomed with Sue Sinnwell.

Cindy loved sewing and crafts and made quilts for her entire family to enjoy.

She was also known to go hunting and fishing with Terry and would often times clean the fish while Terry fished for more. She will be remembered as a great cook, a very talented, creative and crafty individual and a mother and grandmother that had a unique and individual relationship with all her family.

Survivors include one daughter, Renae (Mike) Johnson of Nashua IA; two sons Randy (Amber) Demro of Nashua, IA, Ryan Demro of Nashua, IA; two grandsons, Chancellor Johnson of Nashua, IA, Remington Johnson of Nashua, IA; one brother, Howard (Barb) Stith of Dover, NH; brother-in-law, Dennis (Zelda) Demro of Nashua, IA; two sisters-in-law, Vicki (William) Jones of Nashua, IA, Rhonda (Curt) Murff of Mokena, IL; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Terry on May 18, 2018.
