Wm. D. McCutcheon Funeral Saturday

William D. McCutcheon, 77, died Wednesday, July 6th, in Mercy hospital Ft. Dodge, where he had been a patient for a few days.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon in the Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Kay Mills officiating.

W. D. McCutcheon was born son of Andrew and Jeanette McCutcheon of Traer, Ia. on September 4, 1888. He moved to the Goldfield community as a boy and lived the remainder of his life here. In 1953 he retired from farming and moved to Goldfield. Mr. McCutcheon was a life-long member of the Christian Church in Goldfield before uniting with the United Presbyterian Church when the former parish discontinued. In 1915 Mr. McCutcheon was united in marriage to Clara Martin. To this union was born four daughters, Ruth (deceased), Wilda, Barbara, and Norma. Left to mourn their loss are; his wife, three daughters; Mrs. Cecil Hurshman of Aurora, Colorado, Mrs. Joel Duitscher of Grundy Center, and Mrs. Benjamin Krebs of Corwith, 10 grandchildren, one brother, Arthur of Traer, 2 sisters, Mrs. Everette Hoyt of Des Moines and Mrs. A. C. Forbes of Clarion.

Close relatives from out of town who attended the funeral of W. D. McCutcheon included his three daughters and their families; John Jones, Bruce and Candy of Council Bluffs, Mr. and Mrs. Everette Hoyt of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. McCutcheon of. Traer, and Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Forbes of Clarion. Mrs. Hurshman, Tom and Steve remained to spend the week with Mrs. McCutcheon.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Evans of Wichita, Kansas were here to attend the funeral of W. D. McCutcheon. Mrs. Evans is a niece of Mrs. McCutcheon and the daughter of the late Mrs. Pearl Gardner.

Winter friends of the McCutcheons who meet in McAllen, Tex., each winter and were here to attend the funeral were Frank Pilcher, and Burdette Pilcher, Lawton, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Engels, Wall Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Martin and Mrs. Albert Stevenson, Marion, Mr. and Mrs. Salmer Anderson and Mr. and Mrs. E. Lindsay of Clarion.
