October 24, 1898 --- February 6, 1993

Martha Alice Pardun was born on Oct. 24, 1898, near Goldfield, Iowa to William and Martha Stevenson McCutcheon. She was baptized in the Christian faith and was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Clarion.

Martha was united in marriage to Paul Pardun on July 26, 1922. To this union two children were born, Mrs. Glenn (Phyllis) Sloan, Corwith, Iowa, and Mrs. Andy (Pauline) Lester, Clarion. She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her husband in August 1951, her parents, three brothers, six sisters, and one granddaughter, Connie Sloan.

Martha resided in her home near Clarion until two weeks ago when she entered the Clarion Health Care Center. She was a long time member of the Square Circle Club, The Good Neighbor Club, and Mary’s Circle of the church.

Martha Pardun passed away Feb. 6, 1993 at the Clarion Health Care Center. She had attained the age of 94 years, three months, and 13 days.

Funeral services for Martha Pardun were held Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church in Clarion. Rev. Stanley Watne officiated and burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. The Willim Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Martha Pardun were held Tuesday, February 9, 1993 at 1:30 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church in Clarion. Rev. Stanley Watne officiated and burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. The Willim Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Gary Brandt provided the music for the service. Casket bearers were grandchildren: Mark Lester, Denise and Steve Knight, Scott, Jeff and Beth Sloan.
