Lifetime Resident Of Local Area Dies In Renwick
Raymond S. Paine of Renwick, long-time farmer in the Goldfield-Renwick area, died suddenly at his home in Renwick Wednesday morning of an acute coronary occlusion. Paine farmed for 46 years between Renwick and Goldfield and retired in Renwick in 1952. He is survived by his wife and five children. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21 at 2 p. m. in the St. Paul Lutheran church in Renwick.

Raymond S. Paine, 77, was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa, on September 10, 1883 to David and Orilla Paine. He died of an acute coronary occlusion April 19, 1961 at his home in Renwick, Iowa. He is survived by his wife, Georgia, two sons, Lynn of Los Angeles, Calif., and Donald of Duncombe, three daughters, Mrs. Leone Santee of Richland Center, Wis.; Mrs. Ellen Elkin of Eagle Grove, and Mrs. Marilyn Joenks of Rossie, Iowa, three brothers Roger of Stuart, Florida, and Morris and Paul of Palm Springs, Calif., and one sister Mrs. Mabel Hansen of Goldfield. Also 12 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife in 1928; and one daughter.

Raymond and Georgia Paine were married November 25, 1930 in the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Mr. Paine is an ex-mayor of Renwick and was a member of the Boone Valley school board at the time of his death.

Funeral services will be held in the St. Paul Lutheran church in Renwick with the Blake Funeral Home making arrangements. Rev. Norman V. Johnson will officiate and interment in the Rose Hill cemetery in Eagle Grove.
