Word was received Saturday of the death of Frank Garvey at his home in Alexandria, Minn. Mr. Garvey was a former Eagle Grove resident, while employed by the C. and N. W.

Rail Employee Dies.
Alexandria, Minn., April 13.
Frank Garvey, a veteran employee of the North Western railway, is dead here at the age of 63 years. Mr. Garvey entered the North Western employ as a water boy, and after several promotions became a fireman in 1882. He became an engineer in 1887 and held that position until 14 years ago when he retired.
