Sudden Death of Harold Baker
Harold Baker was born on December 4, 1907, at Eagle Grove, and passed away at his home in Woolstock, at the age of 32 years, 10 months and 20 days. He was the son of J. K. and Belle Baker of Eagle Grove. His father preceded him in death two years ago. Harold was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in his childhood, by Rev. T. J. Severtson of Eagle Grove. He was united in marriage to Bertha Wilcox August 15th, 1931, at Willington, Ill., and since their marriage they have made their home in Woolstock, all but for a few months in Eagle Grove.
There was born to this union, three sons, William Kenneth, Harold DuWaine and Ronald Leroy. He leaves to mourn his going, his wife and three sons, mother, three brothers, Jacob, Carl and James Baker, and four sisters, Mrs. Martha Conaway, Mrs. Mable Johnson and Mrs. Margaret Darland, all of Eagle Grove; and Mrs. Fred Adams of Seattle, Wash., and a host of relatives and friends.
Since coming to Woolstock, he has worked at the carpenter trade with Otis M. Jones. His passing was unexpected, and he was ill but a short time.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kubitschek and Kastler funeral home. Rev. Albert S. Kilbourn officiated. Frank Wells sang, "God Will Take Care of You," and "Valley of Peace." Burial was at the Troy cemetery.
