Obituary of Ellsworth Robert Wolff
Ellsworth Robert Wolff was born March 1, 1912 and died Dec. 23, 1936 at the age of 24 years, 9 months and 23 days. Ellsworth was a home loving boy with high ideals. In 1930 he showed his confession of faith by being baptized in water in the Baptist church, and in January, 1935 he again made another public confession of his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ in the Open Bible church.

On May 9th, 1935 he enlisted in the cavalry and was in service at Fort Des Moines, Iowa until August 1935 at which time he was injured by a horse falling on him, tearing the ligaments of his heart loose which caused his death. He left the hospital July 15, 1936 and returned to the home of his parents in Eagle Grove.

Besides his father and mother he leaves two brothers Otto and Albert, and five sisters, Phyliss, Betty, June, Luella at Oakdale, and Evelyn Sumners, one brother-in-law Ray Sumners, and five nieces and nephews.

He was given an honorable discharge from the cavalry on account of disability. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Roy Klopping and the American Legion. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery.
