April 11, 1885 --- November 27, 1960

George Rasmussen died at his farm home Sunday evening, following a long illness. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist church in Eagle Grove at 2 o'clock with Rev. Roy Cox conducting the services. Burial was in the Goldfield Glenwood cemetery.

He was born April 12, [11] 1885 on the farm where he died. Mr. Rasmussen was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Rasmussen Sr. He never married. Surviving are two brothers, Hans and John, both living on the farm, and one sister. Mrs. Sophia Morgan of Friendship Haven, Ft. Dodge.

George Rasmussen was born in Humboldt County, Iowa the son of Jorgen and Matina Rasmussen on April 11, 1885 and passed away at his home Nov. 27 at the age of 75 years. 7 mo. and 16 days. He was baptized as a child in the Lutheran church in Eagle Grove. He lived his entire life on the farm
where he was born. George was engaged in farming with his brother Hans in the Evergreen community. He was preceded in death by two brothers Chris and Johnnie. He leaves to mourn two brothers Hans and Johnny at home, a sister Mrs. Sophia Morgan of Friendship Haven, Ft. Dodge; four nephews, Howard and Clifford Morgan of Eagle Grove, Dennis Morgan of Phoenix, Arizona, John Morgan of Thor; eight great nephews and nieces, Ronald, Roger, John Allen, Robert, David, Diane and Denise Morgan, Mrs. Harold Middleton and many relatives and friends in this area.

Rites Tuesday at Eagle Grove
EAGLE GROVE — Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Eagle Grove Methodist Church for George Rasmussen, 75. He died at his farm near Eagle Grove, Sunday evening. The Rev. Roy Cox officiated and burial was in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield. The Sacquety Funeral Chapel was in charge. Born April 12, 1885, on the farm where he died, he is survived by two brothers, Hans and John, rural Eagle Grove, and a sister, Mrs. Sophia Morgan, Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge.
