Beverly Jean Knutson was born March 19, 1957 in Blue Earth, MN to Clarence and Lorraine (Kissel) Knutson. She grew up on a farm near Frost, MN with her seven brothers and sisters. Beverly was baptized and confirmed at Frost Lutheran Church and attended Frost High School. She was married in 1973 and blessed with her four beloved children: Chad, Ned, Kevin, and Laurelee. She would often say the best time of her life was raising her young children. Beverly was further blessed with 11 grandchildren whom she adored. Beverly had many talents. She loved to decorate and had a gift for remodeling and redesigning homes, creating unique crafts, sewing, cooking, gardening, and refinishing antique furniture. She also spent many years caring for other people's children while running an in-home daycare.

In 2007, Beverly married Steve Thom. Beverly and Steve lived together on Fox Lake and enjoyed spending time on the lake and sitting by the fire with their many friends and family. She loved living at the lake, admiring their gorgeous view from the patio they built together. Beverly believed in God and served Him in many ways, including Awana and Bible school programs.

Her parents preceded her in death; she missed them dearly and looked forward to seeing them in heaven one day. She also was preceded in death by two nieces, Ann and Carrie Larson, brother-in-law, Oscar Lee Davis; sister-in-law, Pam Knutson and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her husband Steve Thom; her brothers and sisters: Steven Knutson (Deanne), Gary Knutson, Sheryl Larson (Chuck), Margaret Davis, Karen Bleess (Dick), Kathleen Dirks (Rick), and Emily Spencer (friend Kenny Verschoor); her children: Chad Wempen (Krystal), Ned Wempen (Marcy), Kevin Wempen (Stacey), and Laurelee Olson (Craig); her grandchildren: Mack Wempen, Noah Wempen, Seth Wempen, Amelia Wempen, Naomi Wempen, Henry Wempen, Cole Wempen, Max Wempen, Scarlett Olson, Julia Olson, and Walker Olson; and her step-grandchildren: Rachelle Kidwell, Sydney Olson, Jade Troe, and Ethan Troe. She also is survived by the family she gained in marriage to Steve Thom: her step-children: Allan Thom (Kristina), Chad Thom, and Dana Epstein (Aaron); and her step-grandchildren: Savana Dillard, Zachary Thom, Abigail Thom, Jack Epstein, and Olivia Epstein.
