Mrs. Hofmann Dies Suddenly

Mrs. Doris Mac Hofmann, 51, died suddenly this morning at the Hamilton county hospital.

Time and place of services will be announced later, and the body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home.

She is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Melvin (Mary Ann) Bahr, of Blue River, Wis.; Mrs. Carl (Betty) Johnson of Fort Dodge, Ruth Hofmann, attending Iowa State University at Ames, and John Hofmann, with the air force stationed at Chanute air force base, Rantoul, Ill.

Also surviving are seven grandchildren, her father, John Pehl, of Goldfield.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Andrew DeMots of Goldfield and Mrs. William Buhman of Waverly.

Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Mae Hofmann, 51, were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Methodist church with the Rev. Paul Heath officiating. Burial was made on the family lot at Goldfield.

Mrs. A. W. Langerak was organist and Ivan Hutson was soloist for the services today. Pallbearers were Jerry Meyering, Earl Warren, Daniel Johnson, Kenny Evans, Louis LaRue and Glen Weldon.

Mrs. Hofmann died suddenly Saturday morning at the Hamilton county hospital.

Doris Mae Pehl, daughter of John and Myrtle Pehl, was born Nov. 1, 1910, in Wright county and was reared and educated in Wright county.

For the past eight years, she had resided in Webster City.

She is survived by three daughters and one son, Mrs. Melvin (Mary Ann) Bahr of Blue River, Wis., Mrs. Carl (Betty) Johnson of Fort Dodge, Ruth Hofmann, attending Iowa State University at Ames, and John Hofmann, with the air force at Chanute Field, Rantoul, Ill.; seven grandchildren; her father, John Pehl, Goldfield, and two sisters, Mrs. Andrew DeMots of Goldfield and Mrs. William Buhman of Waverly.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Mrs. Hofmann was a member of the Methodist church.
