Alphena Soppeland
8 June 1907 ---- 15 March 1923Alphena Corlene Soppeland, daughter of Halvor and Anna Soppeland, was born June 8, 1907, in Freedom, Ill. In March, 1918, she came with her parents to Eagle Grove, where she passed away last Thursday evening, age 16 years, 9 months and 7 days.
Alphena was a delicate child but was able to attend to her school duties and was a very faithful Sunday School pupil. She studied with the class and was confirmed in her baptismal covenant Nov. 13, 1921.
She leaves her parents, three sisters, Alvina, Hilborg and Hazel, and one brother, Orvis.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the home and Wright Street Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. T.J. Severtson.
