August 19, 1955 ---- February 27, 2018

Randall Kane Staples, 62, of Fort Dodge formerly of Webster City, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Fort Dodge Villa Care Center. Services will be 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel. A time of gathering for family and friends will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, prior to the service, on Saturday at the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge. Burial will be in the Cass Center Cemetery rural Webster City at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 3, 2018.

Randy Kane Staples, the son of George and Virginia (Hudson) Staples, was born August 19, 1955 in Webster City. He graduated from South Hamilton High School in Jewell and later attended Iowa State University. Randall lived primarily in Webster City and Fort Dodge and enjoyed painting and listening to Celtic music. The old time Laurel and Hardy movies were a favorite of his.

Survivors include his two sisters, Connie (Lanny) Carlson of Estherville, Iowa and Georgia (Denver) Widick of Badger, Iowa and a brother, Monte (Lori) Staples of Ankeny, Iowa and several nieces and nephews. Randall is preceded in death by his parents and a niece, Jennifer Kloss.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
