Mrs. Lorene McCreery Dies
Mrs. Lorene (Rusty) McCreery, 72, died Wednesday, October 3, 1973 in the Boone County hospital in Madrid, Iowa. Graveside services were held Friday at two o'clock at the Evergreen cemetery with Rev. Myron Brockmeyer officiating.

Lorene (Rusty) was born Jan. 30, 1901 to Harry and Bessie (Barker) Campbell in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The family moved to Kansas for a short time, then moved to Clarion. In 1924 she married Floyd McCreery and they moved to New Hampton, then to
Mason City. After her husband's death n 1942, she moved to California, where she was an executive secretary, and also a legal secretary. About eight years ago she moved into the Iowa Lutheran Home in Madrid, Iowa, where she resided until she was hospitalized.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. L. E. Goslin of Des Moines and Miss Olivette Campbell of Mason City.
