Services Wednesday For Vera Howell
Funeral services for Mrs. Vera Howell, 57, were held Wednesday in the Baptist church with Rev. Harry Stickle officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Mrs. Howell had been seriously ill for a number of months and her death was not unexpected.
She is survived by five sons and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, mother and brother.

Mrs. Vera (McDonald) Howell, daughter of Taylor and Lucinda McDonald, was born at Decorah, Iowa, November 27, 1895 and passed away April 13, 1953 at Eagle Grove, Iowa, at the age of 57 years, 5 months and 10 days. Her father passed away when Vera Howell was very young and at an early age she with her family moved back to Eagle Grove, Iowa, where she attended Eagle Grove public schools.

In February, 1923, she was united in marriage to Lonnie Howell at Humboldt, Iowa. They were united in marriage by her father-in-law the Baptist minister at Humboldt at the time.

To Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Howell were born five sons. Preceding her in death was her mother, father and a brother. She leaves to mourn her passing her five sons, Donald, Lonnie, Jack, Bob and Linn, besides five grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends.
