Jacob Berentson Lilleskau born May 10, 1855, in Skjold, Norway. He was married to Miss Liva Stokkedahl July 27, 1877. Four years later the young family emigrated to the United States, coming to Sheldahl, Iowa, in April, 1881, where they lived one year, then moving to Wright county, where they have lived since Mr. Lilleskau passed away last Friday, Nov. 10, 1922, at the age of 67 years, 6 months. He leaves his wife and eight children to mourn the loss, two children having passed away in infancy. Those living are Ben Lilleskau, of Vincent; Lewis, of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Anna Farland, of Northwood, Iowa; Christ, of Glenville, Minn.; Mrs. Carrie Hanson, of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Julia Hanson, of Lake Mills, Iowa; Thomas, of Albert Lea, Minn., and Mrs. Mary Wallin of Glenville, Minn. There are twelve grandchildren. He also leaves one sister.

Funeral services were held from the home on North Jackson avenue and at the Lutheran church on Tuesday, Nov. 14. The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery. All the children were present except Mrs. Julia Hanson, who could not come.
