Death of Christ O. Lilledahl
Scarcely had the report of the serious accident to Christ Lilledahl been heard in the city when it was followed by the news of his death at the hospital. While making some repairs on the boiler of an engine about to leave the yards on the morning of Wednesday January 25th the steam plug blew out and the escaping steam scalded Mr. Lilledahl so seriously he was taken immediately to the hospital where everything was done that could be to alleviate his sufferings and save his life but the injuries were too severe for human skill and death came to his relief in the evening.

Christ O. Lilledahl was born in Etne, Norway, June 11, 1863 and was married to Julia Y. Kloster November 25th 1890. He came to America Feb. 25th 1902, and his family followed arriving Oct. 16th 1905. Five children were born to them, three girls and two boys, who with the stricken wife and mother survive bis untimely death. His aged father and two sisters are still living in Norway. The funeral was held at the United Lutheran church Saturday afternoon the services being conducted by Rev. Thorson. The deceased was an exemplary citizen, kind husband and father. His sad death is keenly deplored by every acquaintance, and the bereaved wife and children have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire city.
