Mrs. Delmer Lonning Rites Friday
Mrs. Delmer Lonning of Clarion, the former Maybelle Wright of this city, died Monday morning in the Clarion hospital where she was a patient for 47 days.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:45 at the home near Wall Lake, and at 2:30 at the Lutheran church in Clarion. Rev. T. J. Severtson of this city will be in charge of the services. Interment will be in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove.
Mrs. Lonning who was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Wright, was born in Eagle Grove, Oct. 8, 1905. She was educated in the Eagle Grove schools and graduated in 1925. She was a successful teacher in the Wright county schools for many years, and on April 11, 1936, was united in marriage to Delmer [Delmar] Lonning in this city. Mr. and Mrs. Lonning moved to their present home in Wall Lake township in 1938. Two children were born to this union. Dean Michael, four, and Kent Eugene, who died in infancy.
Mrs. Lonning is survived by her husband and son, her mother, Mrs. Rena Wright, who has been residing with her during her last illness, two sisters, Mrs. F. L. Schultz of South Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. A. F. Schultz, of Las Vegas, New Mex., three brothers, Raymond Wright of Belmond,, Alva Wright of Eagle Grove and Russell Wright of South Milwaukee, Wis.

Last Rites Will Be Held Friday for Mrs. Delmar Lonning
Funeral services are to be held Friday at 2:30 p. m. from the Clarion Lutheran church for Mrs. Delmar Lonning, 41, of Wall Lake township, who died at Clarion General hospital early Monday morning.
Maybelle Wright Lonning was born at Webster City, October 8, 1905. She moved to Eagle Grove with her parents in 1919. She was graduated from Eagle Grove high school in 1925, after which she was a teacher in the Wright county rural schools for several years.
She was married to Delmar Lonning April 11, 1936, and two children were born to them: Dean Michael, four years old, and Kent Eugene who died in infancy.
In 1938 Mr. and Mrs. Lonning moved to their present home in Wall Lake township. She was a member of the Lutheran church at Clarion, and always took an active part in community and church affairs.
Mrs. Lonning is survived by her husband and young son, and by her mother, Mrs. Rena M. Wright of South Milwaukee, Wis.; two sisters, Mrs. A. F. Schultz, Vegas, N. M., and Mrs F. L. Schultz, South Milwaukee, Wis.; three brothers, Raymond Wright, Belmond; Alva Wright, Eagle Grove, and Russell Wright, of South Milwaukee, Wis.
The Rev. T. J. Severson, of Eagle Grove, will be in charge of the services. Miss Charlotte Johnson and Mrs. Carolyn Schultz will furnish special music. Burial will be in Rose Hill cemetery at Eagle Grove.

Mrs. Delmar Lonning
Maybelle Wright was born to the parents, John W. Wright and wife Rena M. Wright, at Webster City, Iowa, October 8th, 1905, and passed away at the Clarion hospital, Clarion, Iowa, Monday morning. August 15 [5] th, 1946 at the age of 40 years, 9 months and 27 days.
She received the Christian baptism at the age of 12 years at the United Brethren Church, of Oak Glen, Iowa. Some years later she united with the Congregational church at Eagle Grove, and after moving to Wall Lake, she was confirmed in the Lutheran faith, and united with the First Lutheran church of Clarion, Iowa.
At the age of 12 years she came with her parents to Eagle Grove, where she attended the Eagle Grove public schools, graduating from the Eagle Grove high school with the class of 1925. After graduating she taught in the rural schools of Wright county until she was married.
On April 11th, 1936 she was united in marriage to Delmar Lonning, of Eagle Grove. To this union two children were born, Dean Michael, now aged 4 years, and Kent Eugene, who died in infancy. In 1938 Mr. and Mrs. Lonning moved to their farm home in Wall Lake where they have since lived.
She is now survived by her husband, Delmar, and by her son, Dean. Also by her mother Rena, and by two sisters, Mrs. Lola Schultz of South Milwaukee, Wisc., and Mrs. Helen Schultz of Las Vegas, N. Mex., and by three brothers, Raymond Wright, of Belmond, Iowa, Alva Wright, of Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Russell Wright, of South Milwaukee, Wisc., and by many relatives and friends.
Maybelle was a kind and considerate wife and mother. She was very active in all matters relative to the community and school welfare. She was a leader of 4-H clubs until her health prevented her. She was also very active in her church. She will be remembered as a kind friend by all who knew her. She was always willing, did her utmost to be of aid to friends and neighbors. And she will be missed by them as well as by her family. She bore her sickness and suffered patiently. And received much comfort from the ministry of her pastor and gospel of Jesus Christ.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, August 9th, from the farm home, and from, the First Lutheran church, Clarion. Burial was made in the family lot at the Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove, la.
