David G. Ley was born Aug. 1844 in Orono, [Ontario] Canada and passed away Jan. 30, 1918. He was married Sept. 22, 1867 to Almina Youngheim. To this union were born four children. Mrs. R. S. Woodward [Woodard] of Eagle Grove, Edward of Houston, Texas, Harry of Revenue, Sask., and Mrs. Lottie Smith who passed away in 1907. There are thirteen grandchildren, also four sisters and one brother left. He spent most of his life in Wright County, Iowa but moved to California in 1903. He was ill only three days. being stricken with paralysis and passed away without regaining consciousness. His body was cremated in Los Angeles by his request and the remains sent to Eagle Grove for burial.Eagle Grove Eagle --- Eagle Grove, Iowa
