John Timothy Collopy
21 July 1868 ---- 14 February 1954

Last Rites Here For John T. Collopy

Funeral services for John T. Collopy were held Friday morning in Sacred Heart Catholic church at 9:30 a. m. in charge of Rev. Maurice Mullan. Casket bearers were Thomas Bell, Carl Foss, Ford Van Wie, T. L. Benedict, Gus Gunderson and Leonard Van Deelan. Burial was in Calvary cemetery.

Mr. Collopy, a retired Chicago and North Western conductor, died February 14th in Westover, Mass., in the home of his son-in-law and daughter Col. and Mrs. Irving Hauser, with whom he made his home for the past nine years. Mr. Collopy was born in Davenport on July 21, 1868 and came here in 1900 to work for the C. and N. W. He retired on pension in 1937.

He is survived by his daughter, one sister Mrs. Margaret Fusselman of Sioux Falls, S. D. Paul Collopy of Eagle Grove was a nephew of the deceased. Mr. Collopy was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Fourth Degree Knights, and the Order of Railroad Conductors.

Out of town relatives who came for the funeral were Mrs. Margaret Fusselman of Sioux Falls, Mrs. P. C. Murray and Lucille of Greenbay, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Parks and family of Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Alice Clifford Larson of Marshall, Minn.
