March 28, 1892 --- August 25, 1948

Mrs. Harold McBeth, 55, died Wednesday morning at 6:30 at the University Hospital, Iowa City. Mrs. McBeth had been ill for several years, and was in the hospital for seven weeks.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Wilson's Chapel.

Mrs. McBeth is survived by her husband, and four brothers, Chas. Halberd [Helberg] of Ames, John Halberd [Helberg] of Marshalltown, Anton Halberd [Helberg] of Newton, and Adolph Halberd [Helberg] of Kankakee, Ill.

Agnes Josephine McBeth was born in Tutaryd, Sweden and came with her parents to America at a very early age. The family settled on a farm near Sheldahl, Iowa where Agnes grew to womanhood. She spent her entire life in Illinois and Iowa.

She was united in marriage to Harold McBeth at Emmetsburg, Iowa in June 1940 and since that time she has resided in and around the vicinity of Eagle Grove. Mrs. McBeth passed away at the University hospital at Iowa City, August 25, 1948 after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers. She is survived by her husband Harold, and her four brothers, John E. Helberg of Marshalltown, Ia., Charles Helberg of Ames, Adolph E. Helberg of Kankakee, Ill., and George Anton Helberg of Newton. Also an aunt, Mrs. John Carlson of Sheldahl, Iowa and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was confirmed in Swedish Lutheran Church in Madrid, Ia., Member of the Rebecca Lodge at Algona, Iowa where at one time she held the office of Noble Grand.

Services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock at the Wilson Chapel. Rev. Chas. Wright officiating. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, Iowa.
