July 22, 1858 ---- November 11, 1920

The death of Thos. B. McCann occurred at their home in Chicago, November 11, 1920, and the remains were shipped to Eagle Grove, for burial. Funeral services were held from the Sacred Heart Church.

T. B. McCann was born at Grand River, near Guilph, [Guelph] Canada July 22, 1858. He came to Eagle Grove over forty years ago with his parents, and entered the employ of the C. & N.W. He became a fireman, and Sept. 1, 1892, was promoted to engineer. He continued in this service until four years ago when, on account of failing health, he was placed on the pension roll.

He was married in Sioux City, Iowa, June 27, 1900, to Miss Augusta Lashley, and to this union two children were born, Lucille, aged 13, and Bernard aged 6, who with the wife, mourn his death.
