Last Rites Held Recently for Mrs. Johnson
Last rites were held Wednesday for Mrs. Johnnie Johnson of Wallingford, who died Feb. 2 at Holy Family Hospital. Funeral services were held at the Martin Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. and at the Wallingford Lutheran church at 2 p.m. with the Rev. N.L. Jolievette and the Rev. T.W. Maakestad officiating. Burial was in the High Lake Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ole Refsell, Elmer Iverson and Loyed Skattebo, all of Wallingford; Jorgen Larsen, Graettinger; Ernest Riebe, Utica, Ill.; and Clifford Olson, Aitkin, Minn. Honorary pallbearers wre Ed. Eichler and Albert Moorehouse, both of Humboldt; Obert Quisling and Ron McClemits, both of Lake Mills; Way Wax, Rolfe; Bill Prowley, Hampton; August Schaper, Estherville and George Heard, Goldfield.

Thelma Lillian (Pranke) Johnson was born July 4, 1898 [1899], in Humboldt county, the daughter of Bert and Rose [Halgrim] Pranke, both deceased. She received her education in the Estherville schools. January, 1921, she was married to Johnnie Johnson at Des Moines. They moved to a farm near Wallingford, where they lived until 1953. They moved to Wallingford at this time.

Mrs. Johnson served as a sales representative of DeKalb and more recently was a sales representative of the Tupperware Company. She was a nurses' aid and was active in charitable work. Mrs. Johnson sponsored the Emmet County Association for Retarded Children for two years. She was a member of the Wallingford Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband and six children. They are Mrs. Ferman (Carolyn) Watson of Graettinger, Olive of Woodward, Mrs. Robert (Lillian Joan) Weinberg of Minneapolis, Paul and Alvin of Wallingford and Ole at home. Also surviving are two uncles, Alvin and Ephraim Halgrim of Thor.

The family requested that memorial donations be directed toward the Emmet County Association for Retarded children, the Wallingford Lutheran Sunday School Fund, the Lutheran Bible Institute or other missions.
