Laura Belle Bolin Lowmiller

Obituary of Mrs. E. L. Lowmiller
Lora Belle Lowmiller, daughter of William Henry and Minerva Bolin was born at Wapella, Ill., August 6, 1860, and departed this life Feb. 14, 1933, at the age of 72 years, six months and eight days. She was married to Elias L. Lowmiller on Nov. 19, 1884, at Wapella, Ill. She leaves to mourn their loss, her husband, one adopted daughter, Laura Cecile Allen, one grandson, Loren Eugene Allen, two sisters, Mrs. Emma Green, Clinton, Ill., Mrs. Edith Lowmiller, Corwith, Ia. four brothers, Charles Bolin of Mason City, John Bolin, Clarksville, Newton Bolin of Swea City, Bert Bolin of Corwith; one step-brother, J. A. Mitchell, Pelican Rapids, Minn., also a host of relatives and friends.

After their marriage they resided on a farm east of Wapella, Ill., coming to Iowa in the spring of 1901, locating five miles east of Eagle Grove. They resided here two years, then moved into Eagle Grove where they have since resided. She united with the Christian church at Long Point, Ill., at the age of 18, where she had always retained her membership. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America, the King's Daughters, and the Bible class of the Baptist church.

She was a kind, loving wife and mother, and was respected and loved by all who knew her. Funeral services for Mrs. Lowmiller were held Friday afternoon, Feb. 17 at the home at 1:30 p. m. from there going to the Methodist church where services were conducted by Rev. C. W. Hantzenrader, pastor of the Christian church of Fort Dodge, assisted by Rev. J. G. Eaton, Eagle Grove.

God gave and he knows,
What is best just over there.
He knoweth where she waiteth in eternity.
Mother O' Mine,
God bless you.
My own dearest mother,
With the finest of everything;
God keep you and watch
O'er you always;
God love you,
Dear mother O' mine.

Lowmiller and son, Corwith; Bert Bolin, Corwith; Mrs. Annie Bolin and family and Mr. and Mrs. John Bolin and family of Clarksville; Mrs. Glen Miller and daughters of Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. John Cunningham and Mr. and Mrs. Lute Carr of Webster City; Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt, Harry Koster and daughter of Vincent; Olaf Olson of Pequot, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Newton Bolin and family of Swea City; Carl Lewis of Clarion.
