Guy A. Fisher was born April 13, 1867, in Stark, Ill., and died at his home in Eagle Grove, Iowa, Monday evening, October 27, 1941, age 74 years, 6 months and 14 days. He came to Wright county in the spring of 1883.

On May 1st, 1900, he was united in marriage to Miss Mae Stomm and has since lived at Eagle Grove. He is survived by his wife and their six children, viz., Lyle Fisher of Des Moines; Mrs. Gertrude Yoder of Woolstock; Mrs. Berniece Ashpole of Chicago, Ill.; Albert Fisher of Eagle Grove. Also by 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and by three brothers, William and Dr. Frank Fisher, both of Eagle Grove, and Myron Fisher of Chadron, Neb.; and two sisters, Mrs. W. C. Smith and Mrs. Archie Abell of White Fish, Mont.

Mr. Fisher had been in ill health for several years, the last few years he suffered a great deal; but he bore it as patiently as It can be expected of any person under severe pain. During these trying months his dear wife was his constant nurse, caring for him night and day with the utmost love and devotion. He accepted Christ as his Savior and made his peace with God. He was baptized March 13, 1940. He was a kind-hearted man, an indulgent father, and a kind husband. He will be missed most of all by his wife, who cared for him constantly.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, Oct. 30, from the Wilson Funeral Chapel, with Rev. T. J. Severtson in charge. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
