MRS. NEWTON ROGERS
A friend from Eagle Grove sent us the following note, additional to what has previously appeared in the Democrat in regard to the taking away of Mrs. N. R. Rogers:

Mrs. Newton Rogers, who came from Clarion to Eagle Grove recently to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pohlman, died at their residence May 21, 1903. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. Ralph Calloway on the 23d.

Miss Edna Viola Pohlman was born in Blackhawk county, Iowa, October 22, 1877, and was married to Newton R. Rogers July 7, 1896. To them three children were born, Clifford, Frank and Harry. About five years ago Mrs. Rogers united with the Christian church at Clarion and remained a consistent member of that society until her death. Mrs. Rogers was well known in this vicinity, having lived near Clarion since her early girlhood, and the bereaved husband and three bright little boys, left motherless, have the sympathy of our people in their crushing loss and sad bereavement.
