Laura Emma Trueblood Ratcliffe
30 October 1859 --- 13 April 1938

Laura E. Trueblood was born on a a farm near New Providence, Hardin county, October 30th, 1859. She was married to George W. Ratcliffe on January 5th, 1879. To this union was born five children: three sons and two daughters: Milton Luther of Kansas City; John H. of Denison; Mrs. Wm. Copp of Eagle Grove; Walter Glen of Pacific Grove, Calif.; Mrs. James Berka of Denison who survive. She was converted to the Methodist church of Stratford in the summer of 1898. Her husband preceded her in death September 6, 1923. She was taken sick in October 1937 and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Copp, April 13, 1938.

She has always been a faithful loving mother and her first thought was always of her home and family. Besides her children, she leaves to mourn her death 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, April 15th, from the Kubitschek and Kastler funeral home in charge of Rev. Moore.
