Inez E. Midland Jergensen

June 26, 1901 ---- August 26, 1965

Funeral services for Mrs. Grant Jergensen were held Saturday afternoon at the First Lutheran church with Pastor Richard Larson officiating. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery in Eagle Grove with the Eyler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Raymond Thompson, Theo Koltvet, Lauritz Stavnheim, Harlan Espe, Glenn Russell and Art Jergensen. Music was furnished by Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Espe accompanied by Mrs. Harlan Espe and by Wayne Ebert.

Inez Evangeline Jergensen, eldest daughter of Ben and Bertha Midland was born June 26, 1901 at Eagle Grove, Iowa, and passed away on August 26, 1965 at the Clarion Community Hospital. She was baptized in early infancy on July 24, 1901 and on December 5, 1915 was confirmed into the Lutheran Church.

She attended the Eagle Grove Public Schools and upon graduation attended the State College of Iowa at Cedar Falls. She entered the teaching profession in the field of elementary education and taught in the Iowa Public Schools of Moville, Monroe and Eagle Grove.

On June 5, 1934 she was united in marriage to Grant Jergensen. To this union was born one son, Phillip, now of Ames, Iowa. For many years of her married life she lived on farms of Dayton and Norway townships of Wright County, Iowa. For the past several years she has lived in Clarion, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, Grant, one son, Phillip, and a granddaughter, Kathryn, her mother, Mrs. Bertha Midland of Eagle Grove, a sister, Mrs. W. H. Kelly (Bernice) and one brother, Leonard of Madison, Wisconsin, and one brother, Floyd of Marshalltown, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister Sybil.
