GoldfieldMrs. May Rasmussen, 89, lifelong resident of Wright County, died Thursday morning at the home of a son, Eldon Rasmussen, at Goldfield.
Funeral services are pending, with the Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt in charge.
Mrs. Rasmussen’s husband died in 1937. Surviving are two children, Tressa and Eldon, both of Goldfield, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include one brother and one sister, Alva Slaikeu of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Ruth Carse of Bell, Calif.

Mrs. May Rasmussen, 89, lifelong resident of Wright County, died Thursday morning at the home of a son, Eldon Rasmussen at Goldfield.
Mrs. Rasmussen’s husband died in 1937. Surviving are two children, Tressa and Eldon, both of Goldfield, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include one brother and one sister, Alva Slaikeu of Eagle Grove and Mrs. Ruth Carse of Bell, Calif.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rasmussen were held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Goldfield United Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Kay Mills officiated and burial was in Glenwood Cemetery at Goldfield.
The former May Slaikeu, she was born near Goldfield and in 1893 married Fred Rasmussen. They farmed northwest of Goldfield from that time until 1922 when they retired. Mr. Rasmussen died in 1937.
Mrs. Rasmussen is survived by two children, Tressa and Eldon, both of Goldfield, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.
