Funeral For Sam Joberg Wednesday P.M.

Sam Joberg, 83, died Monday at his home, 515 North Cadwell Ave., following an illness of some time after a stroke. He is survived by his wife, one son, Nelvin of Fort Collins, Colo., and one daughter, Mrs. Paul Hudgins, of Ellsworth, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in the Samuel Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Walter Carlson of the Evangelical Lutheran church officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Joberg was a long time employee of the Chicago and Northwestern Rail Road and retired in 1944, after 41 years of service. He was born in Strandeborn, Hardanger, Norway on Jan. 21, 1883. At the age of 20 he came to the United States and made his home with an uncle Ole Sandvig at Thor. On March 14, 1908 he was united in marriage to Ida Falk of Eagle Grove. He was a member of the Samuel Lutheran Church, The Masonic and Woodmen of The World lodges.
