7 June 1921 ---- 10 August 2009

Eldora F. Bowie, 88, of Norwalk, Iowa passed away on August 10, 2009 at the Norwalk Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 13, at 10 a.m. at the Altoona Funeral Home with burial following at the Mitchellville Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday evening at Hamilton's Altoona Funeral Home.

Eldora was a long time resident of Mitchellville, a homemaker and a caregiver to anyone in need. She attended the Altoona Regular Baptist Church and was a member of the King David Order of the Eastern Star in Altoona where she was a past Worthy Matron. She enjoyed her family, camping, and fishing.

She is survived by her daughter Dianna (Mike) Richardson of Norwalk and her son Dale Bowie (John Casey) of Urbandale, her grandchildren Amy (Dustin) Huston, Doug (Sharla) Richardson, and Jason (Michelle) Bowie, as well as her great-grandchildren Macie, Mya, Meegan, Cole and Olivia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Norman Bowie.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wesley Adult Day Center.
