December 20, 1905 --- July 26, 1951

Harold Edward Sandven was born on a farm west of Eagle Grove, December 20, 1905, son of Ole and Elsie Sandven, and passed away at Oakdale Sanatorium on July 26, 1951, at the age of 45 years, 6 months and 26 days. He was baptized at North Enes church and confirmed at the Evangelical Lutheran church in Eagle Grove by Rev. T. J. Severtson.

He attended the rural school and Eagle Grove high school.

He was married in December, 1924, to Irma Jones of Woolstock. To this union one son, Duane Keith, was born. He made his home in Woolstock for several years before going to Monte, Calif., where he was employed in a cabinet making shop.

He became ill in January of 1948 and entered the sanatorium at Oakdale in March of that year, where he remained until the time of his death.

He is survived by his son, Duane, and daughter-in-law, Joan, of Woolstock, two brothers, Omer of Nevada and Kenneth of Eagle Grove. Also by four sisters, Sara (Mrs. Ben Olson) Thor; Anna (Mrs. Cleo Houck), Vincent; Olga (Mrs. Leonard Oldson) Eagle Grove; and Lenore (Mrs. Waldo Wiese) New York City.
