Janice Lorraine Reuvers was born November 30, 1929, the daughter of John and Anna Rosquist Reuvers, in Alton. After moving with her family to Eagle Grove in 1930, she received her education in the Eagle Grove school system, and graduated from Eagle Grove High School in 1947.

She was united in marriage to Merlin Claude of Woolstock in March of 1948. To this union, three children were born: Joyce (Mrs. Dwight) Middleton, Webster City; Rodney Claude, De Witt; and Roger Claude, Loveland, Colo.

She was united in marriage to Adolph Frana of Eagle Grove, in August of 1957. Three children were born to this union: sons, Brad Frana; Davenport; Brent Frana, Fort Dodge; and a daughter, Karen (Mrs. Dan) Strodtman, Ames. They made their home in Eagle Grove.

She was employed as a cook for the Eagle Grove schools for 19 years and for three years, she was also a cook at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove. She retired in 1992 due to ill health. Her husband, Adolph, died in a drowning accident in 1975.

She was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church in Eagle Grove, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Janice Frana died at the Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames, following an extended illness, on July 8, 1992. She had attained the age of 62 years, seven months, and eight days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Roger Reuvers; and one sister, Arlene Morgan.

She is survived by her sons and daughters; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Marvin (Beverly) Rogness of Thor and her husband, Marvin; and brother-in-law, Clifford Morgan of Clarion.

Funeral services were held July 11 at the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove. The Rev. Michael Carmody, pastor of the New Covenant Christian Church in Fort Dodge, officiated at the 11 a.m. services and burial was held in the Calvary Cemetery, Eagle Grove.

Kastler-Babcock Services, Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements.
